Prez. Akuffo Addo to take a 7 day much deserved leave from 13th Nov.

Nana Akufo-Addo, the president, will take a seven-day vacation beginning November 13th, 2021.In accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution, the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will act in his place until he resumes formal duties on November 20, 2021.

Eugene Arhin, the Presidency’s Director of Communications, confirmed this during a press conference at Jubilee House on Thursday, saying the President will travel to France during his leave period to preside over a panel for a debate in the French parliament.

“President Akufo-Addo will take a much-deserved, long-overdue 7-day leave of absence from Saturday, November 13th to Saturday, November 20th, during which he has also accepted an invitation to preside over a panel that will adjudicate a debate in the French parliament on the trial of progress on November 19th.”On Saturday, November 20, 2021, he is likely to return to Ghana.

“Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu, Vice President, will function in his place while he is away,” Eugene Arhin added.
