Kyrie Irving, a point guard for the Brooklyn Nets, has spoken out about his decision to forego the coronavirus vaccine, saying he is “doing what is best” for himself.
Due to the New York City vaccine rule, which specifies that all athletes must be vaccinated against
COVID-19 in order to compete, the 29-year-old is unable to play in the NBA.
Sean Marks, the team’s general manager, has also ruled out Irving playing just in road games,
and the point guard has since defended his decision not to be immunized.
