The Netherlands raced to a comfortable victory against Gibraltar in their World Cup qualifier in Rotterdam, with Memphis Depay scoring twice.

Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool scored the first goal from a corner in the ninth minute.

Depay then had the first of two penalties saved in the first half,

but tapped in from Davy Klaassen’s ball before scoring a spot-kick right before the break.

Denzel Dumfries scored in the fourth minute,

Arnaut Danjuma in the fifth,

and Donyell Malen late in the game.

For the first time since October 2001,

the Dutch have scored four goals in three consecutive home games,

despite having 31 shots on goal.

The Red Devils are still two points ahead of Norway in Group G,

with Turkey in third place.
