Pride- Bishop John E.Ntaadu

In Proverbs 29:23, a man’s pride shall bring him down: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. Proud means when you are full of yourself. Doing things in your own way or manner. When you don’t respect rules and regulations. When you are God of your life. When you do not heed to instructions. Those who are proud has unteachable Spirit, unbendable Spirit. Not to be directed, don’t accept or admit their mistakes or wrongs, they are always right, they always look down on others.

The word says honour, respect, discipline shall uphold, sustain, keep, protect, guide the humble in spirit. The question is, who is a humble person?. A humble person is someone who obey instructions, submit to authority, pay attention to instructions, respect and honour everyone. The way up is down(Humility or humbleness). If you want to go up, then come down first.( James 4:10) . But he giveth more grace . What is grace?. Grace means Charis in Hebrew.Grace is also the power of promotion. God resist, hate, hinder, oppose the pride but gives grace, blessings, honour, promotion to the humble (James 4:6). A proud look is something that God hates.

Proverbs 6:16.The word says Moses was the meekeness man on the surface of the earth. (Numbers 12:3).When you are full of yourself, no one want to associate himself with you. It takes people vwho are humble in Spirit to go far.Your pride will bring you low, down, disgrace, and shame. Learn to be humble. I pray that the Spirit of humility will take over your entire life in the name of Jesus.
