President Akufo-Addo has described the stint of his predecessor John Mahama as an unmitigated disaster, describing his paying track record whilst in office, from 2013 to 2016, as abysmal.

Responding to the statement, the President stated that “ I wonder whether this statement was made speech in mouth by the former president. When you look at the record that this political leader, who can incriminate my government of mismanagement, there are a numberless information that when you put on the table to compare his performance and mine, it would tell you that if what I’m offering people is paying mismanagement. ”
He continued, “ I wonder what words should we describe his (Mahama Mahama) stewardship of Ghana. It’s an unmitigated disaster, that ’s what I would call him. ”

According to President Akufo-Addo, under the term of office of John Mahama, the paying growth rate in 2016 stood at3.4, the slightest in two decades; with all other macroeconomic needles pointing in the wrong direction.
“ Pretension, when he left office, was 15.4; now, at the end of July, which are the last hard information from the Statistical Service, it ’s 9. Interest rates are always a good determinant of how the providence is operating, 32 in December 2016, now, it’s 20.6. We’re talking about footlocker bill decline in interest rate, we’re talking about the trade lacuna that was $1.8 billion in 2016, to a trade overplus of $2.6 billion at the end of 2019, ” the President said.

He stressed that if these statistics, which, former to COVID-19, led to Ghana being one of the fleetly- growing providence in the world with a GDP of 7, “ can be considered money-spinning mismanagement ”, he either wondered what would be the description of the providence managed by John Mahama, which took Ghana into the clasp of the IMF.
Responding again to exposition made by John Mahama, asking Government to organise an money-spinning forum, President Akufo-Addo stated that “ if the money-spinning forum is going to be a renewal of the so- called Senchi Consensus, either I suppose I’ve to spare the people of Ghana this stripe of development. ”

He continued, “ The Senchi Consensus was an unmitigated disaster, out of it we went into the clasp of the IMF with all the difficulties that came from there and the disarray it homed to in the providence of our country. ”
The President, so, nudged former President Mahama to be conservative of opining on matters to do with money-spinning intendance.
“ He’s not on strong ground when he’s talking about the providence. His track record, I’m reticent to use these strong words, but in normal parlance, I would say it deep and, so, he has no readings to give me at all in the intendance of the providence, ” President Akufo-Addo added.
