Arsenal FC is in mess as a 22yrs player is likely to leave on a free transfer deal next summer

Arsenal are ready to be shocked by Eddie Nketiah’s free transfer exit. After failing to secure a move in the summer, the young striker is ready to walk away from the Emirates Stadium for nothing. He was set to join Crystal Palace.

On transfer deadline day, a link-up with Patrick Vieira piqued the player’s interest, but the former Arsenal midfielder instead signed Odsonne Edouard from Celtic.

Arsenal had hoped to pay £20 million for the Hale End alumnus. They were more inclined to accept a fee in the area of £12 million as the window drew to a close.

Clubs were still uninterested, and Nketiah faces a difficult few months. Arsenal will have less games to rotate the team now that they are not in Europe, and Mikel Arteta clearly does not like the 22-year-old.

Several European clubs have expressed interest in Nketiah. However, no one was willing to pay a transfer fee. That will change in January, when he enters the final six months of his Arsenal contract and will be able to negotiate terms with foreign suitors.

The gifted adolescent only wants to play. That is fine, but Arsenal look to have priced him out of a move away from the Emirates Stadium.
Now they appear to be on the verge of losing him for no reason, which, really, served Edu well, putting another another blot on his record.
