The building of the National Cathedral has been a vision of President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo.
Contributions towards the said building has commenced with many people buying into the idea whiles some oppose.
The National Chief Imam, during a visit from the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral viz Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyina and Chairman of the Ghana Bishops Conference Archbishop Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, donated an amount of 50,000 cedis to the Cathedral fund.
Meanwhile his spokesperson, Sheikh Aremeyaw Shuaibu said in an interview that Muslims and Christians in Ghana have been in cordial relation and therefore this gesture is to boost the love and unity for both religions.
Also, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral Apostle Opoku Onyinah who was pleased with the contribution called on Ghanaians to do same.
