• He said Kufuor while in cells was running his Dad down
• Dr Nkrumah says Professor Adu Boahene is the most legitimate government official NPP has had
Dr Sekou Nkrumah, one of the children of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah has portrayed previous President John Agyekum Kufuor similar to a “snake under grass”.
As per him, Kufuor during his time in confinement after Ignatius Kutu Acheampong toppled Busia in the 1972 overthrow was running his dad, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, down.
He said, a portion of Kufuor’s fellow prisoners informed him regarding the contempt Kufuor had for his late dad yet it was astonishing that he [Kufuor] was pleasant to him when they initially met at a political meeting during the 1990s at the Hearts Park which is behind the Arts Center.
He accepts that Professor Adu Boahene is the most legitimate pioneer NPP has at any point had.
On his Facebook course of events, Dr Nkrumah expressed, “Will it shock Ghanaians to realize that during his days in cells (political detainment after the Acheampong upset that ousted Busia in 1972), this very Kufuor was running Kwame Nkrumah down? I was recounted a few stories from one of his fellow prisoners about his contempt of Nkrumah!
“The first occasion when I met Kufuor was at the Hearts Park behind the Arts Center, it was at a political meeting coordinated by the resistance some place during the 1990s. By all accounts, he seems like a pleasant person, however is a snake under [the] grass! For me by and by, Professor Adu Boahene (who lost the 1992 decisions to NDC) albeit an adversary of Nkrumah’s philosophy was a more fair head of NPP.”
Sekou Nkrumah’s public analysis of the previous President comes after he [Kufuor] offered a few remarks in his new meeting with Accra-based Angel FM.
J. A. Kufuor during the meeting blamed the main President for Ghana, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, of hurrying to foster Ghana following the nation emerged from freedom.
He said the current difficulty confronting the nation is a consequence of the surge since Ghana as a youthful child didn’t figure out how to creep, walk and run but instead began running when her opportunity was conceded by the British.
“After our freedom in 1957, as an agricultural nation [with all the] initiative difficulties, we didn’t take as much time as is needed; we were unable to figure out how to slither prior to strolling and running yet we quickly bounced into running,” President Kufuor clarified in a meeting checked by GhanaWeb.
“… our economy isn’t working as expected, social versatility, joblessness and the wide range of various difficulties are on the grounds that we surged. It was useful for us as another country to have the vision to rise however we didn’t design it well overall, we just hurried and its outcome is the difficulties we are feeling today,” President Kufuor expressed further.
He proceeded: “following our autonomy, we said we needed to industrialize, so we should construct manufacturing plants. In the principal Republic, industrial facilities were jumping up and we required cash to do as such, so we utilized our stores at the Bank of Ghana… our stores were near 400 million dollars since we were just 6,000,000 individuals…
“Four years after our freedom; before our populace came to around ten million, every one of our stores have been spent on the grounds that in a flash, we needed to develop industrial facilities; shoe plant, cowhide plant among others.
“We didn’t comprehend that in light of the stores, we expected to design. Despite the fact that we required the plants, we expected to plan and figure out how to add to our stores however we didn’t, which has influenced our economy today… “
However, Sekou Nkrumah says, subsequent to considering the previous President’s remarks, he is persuaded that his remarks were a significantly more big deal he considered.
“Subsequent to setting aside some effort to consider what ex-President Kufuor as of late said about Nkrumah, I am of the conviction that it is a significantly more big deal we think!” he posts read.
Sekou Nkrumah clarified, “truth be told, Kufuor is saying that we didn’t actually require autonomy and that we are lucky to be under the controls of the West!
“It is imperative to take note of that assuming as Ghanaians we can’t see the value in how Nkrumah helped this nation, going ahead we will keep on paving the way for the schemes of Western interests, and keep on clobbering in obliviousness and destitution!
“We need to comprehend our set of experiences quite well, yes Nkrumah had his issues and deficiencies, yet his vision for Ghana and Africa goes far past unimportant sectarian legislative issues. The man Kwame Nkrumah put Ghana, Africa, and the individual of color on the world stage, we ought to be glad for that accomplishment. It characterizes us as well as aides our way to independence, certainty, and success!”
