Ghana will from Tuesday fifteenth June to Saturday nineteenth June 2021, has the mid-year legal gatherings of the Economic Community of West African State (ECOWAS).
Clergyman for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway who reported this at a public interview in Accra on Monday, June 14, 2021, said the gatherings will be held for 5 days ceaselessly.
Giving subtleties on the timetable to the gatherings, the Minister said the 46th Ordinary Meeting of the ECOWAS Mediation and Security Council at the Ministerial Level will be hung on Tuesday, fifteenth June 2021 followed by the 86th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers on sixteenth to seventeenth June 2021 then the 59th Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government will happen on Saturday nineteenth June 2021,
She said: “the meetings being held for the current week following the 29th Ordinary Session of the Administration and Finance Committee, whose results will educate the work regarding the Council of Ministers. The Administration and Finance Committee is comprised of specialists from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance of the ECOWAS Member States, who met at the Alisa Hotel from eighth to twelfth June 2021.
“In accordance with the act of ECOWAS, the Sessions this week will think on significant territorial issue relevant to our local area, including late political and security improvements that experience compromised the harmony and steadiness in our district,” she added.
The plan for the meetings she said will zero in on the advancement of ECOWAS Institutional Reforms; ECOWAS Vision 2050; the Status of Tasks relegated by the 85th Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers; the ECOWAS African Research and Innovation Forum (FARI); just as the Humanitarian circumstance in our district, among others.
It is normal that all Heads of State and the Government of ECOWAS, except for Mali, will partake in the highest point with the President, Vice President and care staff of the Commission effectively in Accra in front of the gatherings.
