Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi might be part of a deal to sign Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Blues manager Thomas Tuchel is apparently targeting the offensive duo ahead of the summer window, as part of a comprehensive overhaul aimed at making his team title contenders next season.
Dortmund has been heavily impacted financially by the COVID-19 outbreak and will need to cut their pay bill this summer, especially if they fail to finish in the Bundesliga’s top four this season.
According to the Sunday World, Chelsea might give Callum Hudson-Odoi to Bayern Munich in a mega-swap deal if they try to recruit Haaland and Sancho at the end of the season.
Since Tuchel’s arrival at Stamford Bridge in January, Hudson-Odoi, 20, has been a constant in Tuchel’s starting XI, with the Cobham graduate thriving in his newfound wing-back role. Hudson-Odoi, on the other hand, has fallen short of expectations, and Tuchel is willing to let him go, either permanently or on loan, provided he can find a suitable substitute.
According to recent rumours, Dortmund may be obliged to sell some of its most valuable assets in the summer, including Haaland and Sancho, who have both been linked with summer moves to Chelsea in recent months.
