Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Argentine defender Cristian Romero ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils are expected to sign a new centre-back in the coming transfer window,
and Raphael Varane of Real Madrid is still a possibility for the 20-time English champions.
According to Sky Sports News, Romero is also a target, as his performances for Atalanta BC during the 2020-21 season impressed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
The Argentine is on loan from Juventus at Atalanta, but La Dea is expected to make the move permanent
during the summer transfer window for around €25 million (£21.5 million).
Man United is keeping a close eye on the developments surrounding the South American,
with the Italian club reportedly open to selling the centre-back for a fee in the region of €40 million (£34 million).
In 39 appearances for Atalanta this season, Romero has three goals and five assists.
