Few views? No ideas? No time? Other activities took priority? Or just life maybe?
Whatever be the case, truth is, your article isn’t moving forward.
Sounds like you? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Most authors give up because creating new content consistently is no easy act.
You have to constantly look out for more new ideas and find diverse ways to keep your readers coming back for more.
How to Stay Motivated as an Author and Keep Going?
Here are six (6) important tips to regain your motivation and not give up.
- Habit Hub
The key to staying motivated to write is building a habit out of it.
Dedicate certain hours of the day to just brainstorming and writing blog content. Think of places where you can concentrate and write better. You can also head to the beach side or create a home office. When you make this a custom, you’ll notice you’ll be writing better and more frequently.
2. Goals Hub
To succeed as an author, you must set realistic and doable goals.
Start with setting daily goals before you move towards larger goals. For example, your daily goal can be to write one article a day. You can then build up to 2 – 3 articles a day.
Your broader goal can be what you want to do for your article to get more views or interests. It can be sharing your posts on social media or getting a mentor or a trusted friend to review your articles. Set doable goals, deliver them, and be accountable for it.
It’s important to remember that blogging is a slow and steady process. So, don’t get demotivated when you don’t see the number of readers flowing in. Just stay committed to growing your blog and you’ll see your efforts paying off soon.Adela Belin
3. Network Hub
No matter which profession you are in, networking always helps. This holds true for authors too. Writing is a lonely profession and you need to interact with other bloggers for many reasons.
If you are a new to blogging you can learn a lot from fellow authors through networking.
