The leadership of Universities Senior Staff Association indicated that it will embark on strike on 18th May.
The government refused to address the concerns of members after they called off a similar action earlier this year.
The strike comes back because the government refused to pay tier-2 pension arrears.
Market premiums and non basic allowances, among others of the members of the Association.
The National Chairman for the Association, Zakaria Mohammed said members will strike on that date.
“We will embark on strike on 18th May,2021.
We submitted a letter to the Labour Commission.
In February,2021,the Association declared a strike over the same concerns but they forced them to suspend it ,after National Labour Commission secured an interlocutory injunction from the High Court, Labour Division, against them.
The NLC earlier on said the government should do everything possible to pay the outstanding pension arrears to the Association by the end of March 2021.
