Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Minister of Communications and Digitalisation, has announced that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey will move to Ghana in June.
According to her, Jack Dorsey will spend at least six months in Ghana’s capital to oversee the establishment of Twitter’s Africa headquarters.
She explained that the American technology leader will be headquartered in Accra but will be in charge of Africa’s operations.
Speaking on Asaase radio, the minister said:
“Jack will be headquartered in Accra, so this will be his home base as he travels across the continent, and I’m hoping that his mates will join him to see what he finds so special about Accra.
And they will like and love it here, because their companies will bring them here, and they will see the beautiful country we have here, as well as the very knowledgeable young people who are excited about the opportunity and will seize it,” she said.
