UPDATE ON MATTERS OF CONCERN
I bring you warm greetings from the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG), Eastern-Greater Accra (EGA) Sector.
The hope to do more and the desire to accomplish the best are rooted in good health. My heart rejoices for you as I share in the pleasure of your healthy state of being this moment.
There have been issues of uncertainty circulating in our fraternity which need to be addressed. All these issues are emanating at this moment as a result of the affiliation of Colleges of Education to the Traditional Universities. This has brought disparities in the academic calendar of the various Colleges of Education in the country, which is making it difficult to issue a general statement on certain development made. In light of this, there has been delayance on the part of the Association to hurriedly bring some information out to the general populace of trainees, to avoid all contradictions and confusions. Nonetheless, our members need to be updated on the progress we have made so far on such issues of concern.
REOPENNING DATE
Upon continuous probing into matters of the reopening date for trainees at the various levels (Level 100, 200 and 300) for semester two(2) of the 2021 academic year, it has been revealed that;
Level 300 students will report to campus on 8th May, 2021 for six (6) weeks face-to-face studies.
Level 100 students will report to campus on 8th May, 2021 and remain till the semester ends.
Level 200 students will be at home and do virtual studies for six (6) weeks.
It is worth noting that there will be a paradigm shift between level 300 and level 200 students after the first six (6) weeks.
NOTE: This arrangement is tentative and it is liable to change, but you will be communicated to as soon as such change occurs.

ALLOWANCE
There has been a lot of engagement with Student Loan Trust Fun and other stakeholders on the issues of allowance. Owing to the numerous engagements and consultations, we have been assured that the allowance will be paid but the exact date for the payment has not been communicated to us yet.
On this note, I want to entreat all Trainees to remain calm and stay put in high hopes as leadership keep engaging the appropriate quarters on allowance issues.
Thank you for your cooperation in matters of pertinence as this. Yours faithfully
Osei Kwadwo Kofi Boakye
