Manchester United are reportedly still interested in signing Sergio Ramos this summer,
despite the centre-refusal back’s to sign a new contract with Real Madrid.
The veteran defender is about to reach the final two months of his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu,
where he has spent the past 16 seasons.
Madrid president Florentino Perez recently acknowledged that it is
“very difficult” to reach an agreement with Ramos, who is also wanted by Paris Saint-Germain.
United is still keeping an eye on the Spain international’s contract situation,
according to the Manchester Evening News, with a view to making a move at the end of the season.
Despite agreeing to a new long-term contract with Eric Bailly this week,
the Red Devils are thought to be looking for a new defensive partner for Harry Maguire.
Pau Torres, Samuel Umtiti, and Ben White have all been mentioned as potential United goals.
