Dani Ceballos, an ARSENAL loanee, has hinted that he could return to his parent club Real Madrid in the summer. At the start of the 2019-20 season, the 24-year-old Spaniard joined the Gunners on a season-long loan and impressed with his imagination and passing range.
Last summer, his loan was extended, and he has had another successful season in North London.
Although it appears that Arsenal fans want him to remain on a more permanent basis, Ceballos’ statements now seem to indicate that he will not.
“I’m learning a lot in the Premier [League], but I think LaLiga is better for my game,” he told Onda Cero.
Ceballos has made 74 appearances for Arsenal, scoring two goals and assisting on five others.
But this isn’t the first time he’s shown interest in returning to Spain.
In November, Ceballos told SunSport that he wants to compete for a place in the Real Madrid squad.
“The Bernabeu is the Mecca of football,” he said. You should inquire of Mesut.
There was no problem because we both knew it would be beneficial to my future.
“Real Madrid owns my future for the next three years, and I have no say in the matter.
“At the very least, I’m not going to do it alone because the coach and the president are both involved. Nobody, on the other hand, refuses to play for Real Madrid.”
