Boy George, a gay British singer, has reportedly written a love song for Ghana’s President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, in an attempt to convince him to support the passage of legislation permitting the practice of homosexuality in Ghana.
Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgenders, Queers, and Intersex people have urged African leaders to legalize their practices in their respective countries.
The community urged Ghana’s President to embrace the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer community’s raging agenda.
Remember that the President ordered the closure of one of the organization’s headquarters in Accra after the public protested about their plans to ramp up the practice among people, especially the youth.
Some celebrities in the country have also lent their support to the government’s efforts to eliminate the practice. Others blamed the government for opposing the legalization of their sexuality.
In a viral video, Boy George said that she is performing the composed song in order for Nana Addo to hear their appeal and legalize their practice.
