Vinicius Junior, a Real Madrid attacker, says he is loving his football under coach Zinedine Zidane.
Real will face Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal tonight.
“I learn from Zidane every day, in every training session,” Vinicius Junior said of working with him.
He was a fantastic player and is now a fantastic mentor.
He goes out of his way to make us feel comfortable, not only when we’re playing, but even when we’re at home, and he asks a lot of questions about our families.
He also instills trust in me, and I learn a lot on the field. Tactically, he is one of the coaches who has driven me the hardest to do things that come naturally to me and that I do in a comfortable manner.
He has always aided me in an offensive context.
He went on to say: “I’m a lot more experienced now, and I know how to play the game and when to strike.
This enables me to progress every season in order to achieve the highest possible level,
to be among the best players in the world, competing for Real Madrid and winning titles.
I’m a totally different player now, but I still have the same traits as before.”
