The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana Teacher Trainees (TTAG) has revealed that
Teacher Trainees at public colleges of education receive their allowances in June.
The Association stated in a statement issued on 18 June 2020 that its second semester allowances
are paid to students who do not receive their allowances during their first six months by arrears.
On 15 and 16 June a delegation led by the President, Mr. Augustine Appiah,
engaged stakeholders on topics of interest to teacher trainees, which had a major concern about paying allowances.
Some 6,107 students had not yet received their first half allowance, according to reports.
The TTAG leadership invited all Presidents of each Student Representative Council (SRC) to involve their
College Allowance Coordinators to ensure correct information about the trainees concerned is provided in due time.
