Sources tell MyNewsGh.com that President Akufo-Addo is set to announce Mr. Kissi Agyebeng, Managing Partner of the law firm Cromwellgray LLP who is currently the Chairman of the Electronic Communications Tribunal as Martin Amidu’s replacement
Since Mr. Amidu’s resignation, president Akufo-Addo nominated Ms. Cynthia Naa Koshie Lamptey, a deputy to Amidu, to act as Special Prosecutor until further notice.
It will be recalled that in 2019, the Chairperson of the Public Services Commission confirmed the private legal practitioner as the Chairman of the Electronic Communications Tribunal and is to run for three years in which period he is to oversee the affairs and adjudication of appeals at the Tribunal as stipulated in The Electronic Communications Act, 2008 (Act 775).
He is also a lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Law, teaching and researching into criminal law, international humanitarian law, international law and corporate law.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Ghana and two Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University (Marine and Environmental Law) and Cornell Law School (Corporate Law and Securities Regulation).
