Carrots also know as ducus carota is a root vegetable, usually orange in color, though purple, black, red, white, and yellow cultivars exist. It is crunchy, tasty, and highly nutritious. Carrots are a particularly good source of beta carotene, fiber, vitamins, potassium, and antioxidants.

Aside the numerous health benefits there are some groups of people that should either abstain or should avoid eating too much carrots. These group of people are:
- People with Hypothyroidism: Hypothyroidism is abnormally low activity of the thyroid gland, resulting in retardation of growth and mental development in children and adults. carrot contains a compound called beta- carotene. eating carrots may not be good for people with Hypothyroidism since their body system can’ t change it to vitamin A. Such people should avoid eating carrots.
- Some people who have oral allergies: This are the group of people who mouths itches them when they eat carrots but this doesn’ t tend to happen if the carrot is well cooked. This people are advised to only eat cooked carrots.
- Those with an upset stomach: If you are having stomach problems like bloating and the likes, please you should go easy on carrots. This particular veggie has a varied digestion rate in the body depending on how your system works.
- Those having sentitive skin: Eating too much carrots is linked to a health disorder called Carotenemia. Carotenemia is simply yellow- orange pigmentation which appear on your skin as a cause of excess beta- carotene in your diet.
