Inusah Fuseini Comments On Whether Parliament Will Disqualify A Ministerial Nominee Or Not

Inusah Fuseini, a lawyer and former Member of Parliament for Tamale Central on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress has told Joy FM’s NewsFile host on Saturday, February 20, that so far there are no constitutional blocks against any of the ministerial nominees vetted by the Appointments Committee of Parliament hence the Committee will approve all of them.

When asked by the host of the program Sampson Anyenini whether the Committee will disapprove any of them, Inusah Fuseini said not a single person will be disqualified although he has heard a vast number of people ridiculing Hon. Hawa Koomson and calling on parliament to disqualify her  because of her low level of fluency in the English Language.

According to him, the President had assessed the competence of his nominees duly before their nomination, hence, the need to laud the President’s intelligence in his decision.

“You must not take it away from the president that he had a minimum assessment of the capacity of his nominees to deliver on his policy. That is why he nominated them in the first place.

“So you must credit the president with some modicum of intelligence in putting people in places so that they can be able to push through his programs and policies,” he added.
