Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, National Communications Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has registered his displeasure over Oppong Nkrumah’s alleged attempt to incite the Supreme Court against Dr. Dominic Ayine, a legal team member for the NDC.
Sammy Gyamfi, while speaking to the media, tagged the conduct of Oppong Nkrumah as shameful and unpardonable.
According to him, if the Court is to apply the rules of contempt, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah should be the first culprit.
“It is absolutely wrong for colleague lawyers to be making these statements. We were all in this country during the 2013 petition. We saw people from NDC and NPP been cited for contempt and you saw the unity at the bar.
Why are lawyers like Oppong Nkrumah and Nana B trying to instigate and incite the Court against him on the basis of things he has not said and when they have made even more contemptuous statement? If the rules are to be applied then the first culprit should be Oppong Nkrumah. Are they justices of the Supreme Court? They should stop this shameful conduct,” Sammy Gyamfi said.
