Lawyer Maurice Ampaw on a Kumasi-based TV station has cautioned Prof. Ransford Gyampo, a lecturer in the Political Science Department at the University of Ghana, and Franklin Cudjoe who is the Founding President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IMANI Centre for Policy and Education, to stop misleading the masses in their attempt to explain the proceedings of the Supreme Court’s ongoing election petition.
The election petition filed by the 2020 Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is slowly coming to an end. Meanwhile, the Petitioner, John Dramani Mahama has filed an application to re-open the case in order to subpoena the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission.
Mr. Mauricepaw on Wontumi TV’s “Mmra ne Abrabo mu Nsem” has chastised the two renowned political analysts as he imposed blames on them.
“I blame Franklin Cudjoe and Ransford Gyampo for all this. They are misleading people with their explanations. They should know that what the respondents are doing is a strategy. In life you need strategies to win.
Even Jesus Christ used a strategy to defeat the devil. Prof. Gyampo is my small boy. Even the political science that he teaches he should know that the methods used in teaching are based on strategy.
Both Franklin and Cudjoe should keep quiet. They should stop misleading people. The petition has no merit. They should tell the public that the petition has no merit, No one can compel Jean Mensa to testify,” Maurice Ampaw submitted.
