Tsatsu Tsikata, the lawyer for the Petitioner in the ongoing election petition at the Supreme Court has filed a motion of leave on behalf of John Dramani Mahama to re-open the case in the election petition for the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission to be cross-examined to prove her credibility.
The motion was filed after it was ruled by the Supreme Court that Jean Mensah would not be cross-examined.
Chief Justice Anin Yeboah who presided over the court stated that “we are not convinced and will not yield to the invitation being extended to the court by the counsel for the petitioner to order the respondents to enter the witness box in order to be cross-examined.
Accordingly, we hereby overrule the objection raised by the counsel for the petitioner against the decision of the respondents declining to adduce testimonies in this petition.”
John Dramani Mahama through his lawyer, Tsatsu Tsikata filed a motion of leave to re-open the case based on the ruling of the court to enable the EC Boss to mount the witness box to testify.
