NDC wanted to bribe me to leave NPP – Rex Asanga alleges

Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 and 2020 Parliamentary election, Rex Asanga gas unveiled that the NDC inspired by a paranoid fear of the effect he could make in the 2016 election wanted to bribe him to resign.

Notwithstanding, he said he didn’t succumb to the move as he was focused on the reason for the New Patriotic Party under the initiative of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Rex Asanga made this known when he addressed Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio in a meeting which was restreamed by MyNewsGh.com.

“Something occurred in 2015. At the point when I won the primaries and we started crusading, there was a Rex fever. A companion of mine who turned out to be an accomplice {former coworker} called me one day and said he had been given a venture and he wanted to see me. He was a contractor so I thought he had an undertaking from government and wanted some monetary help from me. In any case, he said no; ‘you’re really the undertaking’. I asked how? Also, he said he had been given an errand by the most elevated level of the NDC to get me to resign from the NPP.

Rex Asanga continued “he told me he was sitting with the top chain of importance of the NDC and they had really examined and said that on the off chance that they didn’t move me, they could lose the bolga parliamentary seat. They were all set into whatever terms I wanted. So I said ‘yet you know me that money, houses and vehicles are not my concern. How will anyone help me that I’ll forfeit my honesty?’ But he demanded saying they simply wanted me to resign from NPP and go along with them”.

Rex Asanga has tried however failed on two occasions to capture the Bolgatanga Central seat from Isaac Adongo and the National Democratic Congress.

Meanwhile, he is relied upon to be in the standard of undertakings in the second term of the President of Ghana considering the way that he didn’t highlight prominently in the initial term of the party.
