Good News: Ghana Education Service Sends a Letter to All Teachers Union on The Supply of Laptops

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has made it known than, all teachers would be expected to sign an acknowledgement form stating all personal particulars as they receive their laptops.

The statement was made in a letter dated January 29, 2021 and signed by the Director General (Prof, Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa).

“Each teacher is to sign an acknowledgement form stating all personal particulars and also authorizing the deduction of the amount at source at the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD)” the letter stated.

The letter further made it known that, the laptops are to be owned as personal assets of the individual teachers and it is mandatory for each teacher since much of the materials for teaching will be uploaded on them.

The letter was addressed to the General Secretary, National President and President of the teacher unions GNAT, NAGRAT and CCT-GH respectively.
