Frank Davies, Spokesperson for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2020 presidential election petition on-going at the Supreme Court has reacted non-verbally after he has received numerous public criticisms when a picture of him and a military man holding his bag to court as a personal ‘aide’ went viral.
To many such as Prof. Ransford Gyampo, a lecturer and political scientist at the University of Ghana, the idea of military officers guarding civilian appointees and private workers demoralizes the police and causes public disrespect to them.
The political scientist in a Facebook post says, “The attempt to turn soldiers into errand boys of civilian appointees, private citizens and ‘small boy magicians’ parading as pastors, should be a monumental shame to any professional Army Commander whose appointment was based on meritocracy.”
Following the previous picture of the military man holding Mr. Frank’s bag, a current picture going viral has Mr. Frank holding his bag without the assistance of any officer.
Frank Daives in a current picture has reacted to the public criticisms with humility and not arrogance as he is seen holding his wig and bag without any military officer acting as his personal aide.
