Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central has exposed on his Accra-based Net2 TV, the wrongs steps taken by Former President Jerry John Rawlings.
According to Ken, Rawlings should be blamed for the dominance of foreign businesses in Ghana.
The controversial MP accused the late Former President of being the cause of the collapse of several local businesses during his administration which led to the debilitating of the entrepreneurial skills of most Ghanaians.
“I blame Rawlings for it, he brought all these problems. He killed the entrepreneurial skills of Ghanaians,” he angrily said.
Mr. Agyapong revealed that JJ Rawlings cautioned Ghanaians in one of his June 4 celebrations not to patronize the products of a particular company owned by a Ghanaian.
“Businesses like Kwahu’s motors, Poku transport and Apino soap have all been destroyed. I recall clearly that, it was during the celebration of June 4 that Rawlings declared that Apino soap shouldn’t be patronized by Ghanaians,” the Net2 owner said.
The controversial MP further lambasted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for silencing party members who make an attempt to condemn Rawlings’ hand in the collapse of the above-mentioned indigenous businesses.
“When I’m talking about it, the NPP says I should keep quiet but it’s something we have to talk about for Ghanaians to know,” he added.
Meanwhile, today, Wednesday, January 27 is the final day for the funeral rites of the late former President.
