Ola College of Education Starts Supported Teaching In Schools

Due to matters arising pertaining to the covid 19 pandemic and lack of accommodation, colleges of education were to run a double track system where there will be 6 weeks online tuition and 6 weeks face to face session.

Principals and Tutors of OLA college deemed it necessary to organize a 2- Day Virtual Learning Orientation for level 300 which took place on the 12th – 13th January 2021.

As the saying goes “we are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” by Aristotle, the STS Coordinators of OLA college of Education saw it necessary for Student Teachers to visit neighboring schools in their locality in order to be equipped with skills and ensure that student teachers are ready to teach as soon as they take their first teaching roles and observe real classroom situations.

Letters were given to student teachers to submit to the Head Teachers of the various schools they will be attending and forms were given to students to fill for their SRJ (Student Reflexive Journal).
