It’s a final UCL game between the Spanish giants, Barca and Italian giants , Juventus.
Barcelona goes into the match fresh from a gloomy defeat to Cadiz but are three points clear of the current Serie A champions and favorites to top Group G.
Barcelona will not to take first place unless they are outscored or lose by three or more goals or by any two-goal margin other than 2-0.
Barca’s coach ,Ronald Koeman, is expected to make changes again to his side but could really being out a favourable performance and a result after a tough and terrible weekend.
This is how I think they may lineup;
Ronald Koeman can decide to give Neto Murara another in front of goal after starting the Brazilian last time out against the Hungarian team ,Ferencvaros, and resting Marc-Andre ter Stegen. But he may start the German keeper because they have a record which is on the line. That’s is Barca has not lost a game at home since 2013.
With Uruguayan defender, Ronald Araujo, is back to full fitness and energy after recovering from a hamstring injury and is expected to make his return to football action alongside Frenchman Clement Lenglet in central defence.
Sergino Dest could continue at right-back, while Junior Firpo may be given an option on the opposite side if Jordi Alba is given a time to rest.
Miralem Pjanic has started every UCL group match so far and looks set to continue that run against his former teammates. The only question left to answer is , which player will partner the 30-year-old in Koeman’s starting eleven?
Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets, Carles Alena, and Riqui Puig are all fully fit and available for this one. According to Sport, Carles Alena could be handed an unusual start and the chance to impress Dutch man Ronald Koeman.
Frenchman Ousmane Dembele won’t be available for selection against Juventus after the Frenchman picked up a hamstring problem against Cadiz, while the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho may also be dropped after a bad performance on Saturday. Or may get another to impress his coach.
Youngster Pedri looks certain to return to the starting lineup and will be a pretty fresh after missing out on a starting spot recently. The Portuguese international Francisco Trincao is an option out wide in Dembele’s absence and could be hoping for another UEFA Champions League start.
Barca’s coach Ronald Koeman also has decisions to make over Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, and Martin Braithwaite. This is because all the three forwards failed to shine in their league match against Cadiz, although Griezmann and Braithwaite had been in good goalscoring form before the defeat.
Meanwhile, the Argentine Messiah Lionel Messi has been put to the sidelines for Barcelona’s last two UEFA Champions League matches but could start against Juventus. With Cristiano Ronaldo who may probably feature in the match, Ronald Koeman may be forced to start Messi. This may because the two haven’t played against each other for some years now.
Also,Koeman said before their win in Hungary over Ferencvaros last time that it was his last chance to rest his captain for a while. This means he will probably start Messi and we could see a battle between the two goats.
Possible Starting Lineup: Neto; Dest, Araujo, Lenglet, Firpo; Pjanic, Busquets ; Trincao, Messi, Pedri; Griezmann.
