Every Child Should Be Taught This

Explain to your children how Taqwa is the major part of our religion and how to instil it in our lives.

What is Taqwa?

Taqwa is not only just about manners..
Taqwa is not just about looking Islamic…
Taqwa is not just about sporting a beard or wearing a Hijab…
Taqwa is not about appearance or how you look

BUT

Taqwa is when you miss or forget a prayer, you feel uneasy the entire day…
Taqwa is when you utter or speak a lie, you feel bad…
Taqwa is the guilt that follows or attends when you hurt someone intentionally or unknowingly…
Taqwa is the shame and regret that accompanies a sin you committed knowing full well how it stands in the perfect sight of Allah…
Taqwa is when you cannot sleep after disobeying or showing disrespect to your parents…
Taqwa is to cry in the depths of night fearing no one but the one above the Arsh/ the Throne…
Taqwa is the fear that refrains and protects us from sinning when nobody familiar to us around…
Taqwa is the guts, the enthusiasm and the will to please Allah, even when the whole world is hell bent on displeasing Him…
Taqwa is to wear that beard and Hijab for the sole purpose of pleasing our Creator and to keep it on as per the Sunnah(practices and instructions of the noble messenger, Muhammad may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)….
Taqwa is to stay happy and keep smiling, knowing very well that this world is a prison for believers…
Taqwa is the good manners and character we practice or exhibit for the sake of Allah…
Taqwa is the struggle to better ourselves according to Islam, with each and every passing day…
Taqwa is not only just about rising in deen, but about falling, rising again and never letting go!
Taqwa is all about that which is embedded IN OUR HEARTS.

And if our hearts are occupied with proper Taqwa, then actions automatically follow…
And the very sweetness of these actions is so fulfilling!

Resolutions are measured according to those who take them.
And so much is true for generosity and its givers.
Trifle matters are magnified in the eyes of little people.
While grandeur is belittled in the eyes of the great.
Sayf al-Dawla commands his will to his army.
Although the most veterans of the armies could not achieve similar feats.
Does al-Hadath know of its red color? Or which of the two pourers was a cloud?
White-streaked clouds had watered al-Hadath before his arrival; when he approached, it was flooded with skulls.
The enemy came at you, hauling their weapons as if they travelled on legless horses.
You stayed where you were when doing so meant certain death: as if you lied within the eyelid of Doom while it slept.
Heroes pass by you wounded and defeated While you are all smiles and your face radiantly bright.
And you are not a king that destroys his opponent- rather it is your Tawheed that destroys the Shirk.
Congrats to warfare, glory and emininance, to your subjects and Islam; for you are secure.
