– Names of eligible voters who made it to the register list have been published.
– The EC has already deleted some 30,000 names from the register.
– Commissioner of the EC says results of this year’s election will be declared in a day.
If you successfully registered to vote in the December 2020 elections, you need to check if your name made it to the final voters register list.
The Electoral Commission of Ghana released this final list. It has also pasted a list of all eligible voters across all polling stations in the country. This is to ensure that you cross check your names and polling centers before December 7th.
So far, about 30,000 names have been deleted from the final voters register list. Most of these names, according to the EC, are either ghost names or multiple registration culprits.
One special thing about this year’s election is that all presidential and parliamentary results will be declared in a day’s time after the polls. This, according to the Commissioner – Jean Mensa – is due to the heavy preparations made ahead of the elections.
