Mr Ahmed who hails from Accra but works in the Upper West Region met his untimely death on Thursday, the 12th of November. He is known to be an expert and a talented in photocopy machine repairs. He has been working in the Region for the past 3-5 years. He is married with three kids. His works and expertise in the field has made him popular in the Region and beyond. It was on one of such expeditions to the “Nandom” District that unfortunately caused him his life.
Mr Ahmed with his work crony, were holding a blower after finishing their repairs in Hamile. On their way to Wa, the capital of the Upper West Region, residents of LAMBUSSIE perceived them to be armed robbers and mistaken the “blower” for a gun and subsequently informed the on-reaching village to seize them up.
The villagers gathered and blocked the way with logs. However Mr Ahmed and his “boy” did not stop as they had nothing bad and did not thought the people had perceived to be armed robbers.
But they could not just move freely through the road as one of the villages hit the head of Mr Ahmed who was carried with the motorbike and was sitting behind. The subsequently fell with the bike. Upon further investigations, it was clear they were not ROBBERS, however Mr Ahmed could not survive the intensity of the hit as his head(skull) has been crashed.
