Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, born on October 17, 1984 (age 36 years), Accra is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter, actor and CEO of Shatta Movement Empire. He won Artiste of the Year at the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for his best known single “Dancehall King”, and has appeared in films such as Never Say Never, The trial of Shatta Wale, and Shattered Lives. He was recently featured on Beyonce’s lion king project.
Yesterday was a day to remember as the king of African Dancehall Music Charles Nii-Armaah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale celebrated his 36th Birthday.
The musician hosted a couple of industry friends and fans in his mansion located at East Legon-Accra. It was a day to remember as Shatta Wale was trending the whole day on Twitter with the hashtag Shattabration.
He had a very touching letter from his dad, wishes and gifts from his friends and colleagues in the industry and one surprising wish came from Archbishop Duncan Williams who is the general overseer of the Action chapel of Ghana
It was an entertaining event, mind blowing and breathtaking scenery.
One surprising moment was when a lady was seen spraying 100ghc notes on shatta wale and everyone was blown away. People couldn’t take their eyes off that particular moment
