The Member of Parliament for Mfantsiman Hon. Ekow Quansah Hayford was killed at a gun point by some unknown assailants on his way back from a campaign tour to his constituency in the Central region on October 9, 2020.
Exactly a week today Ghana Police Service were able to pick up two persons earlier yesterday whose names the Police did not want to disclose because of security reasons. But the Police said they were aiding them in their investigations and within some time the perpetrators will be brought to book and face the full rigors of the law.
Therefore admonishing the entire public to remain calm as they carry out the necessary steps to hunt the killers down.
But Exactly 24 hours after the first two suspects were rounded up by the Police, The Ghana Police Service today made it known on their twitter page @Ghpoliceservice that three more persons have been arrested increasing the number to five persons currently been arrested and in their custody aiding them in further investigation in connection with the dreadful killing of the Legislator.
This came up after they gathered intelligence that the suspects were in a hideout within the Mankessim area in the region. Therefore the police made it known to the public that anybody with information regarding the killing of Hon. Ekow Quansah Hayford should not hesitate to relay that information to the Police who are currently on their toes to ensure that they pin those heartless persons down.
The Police stated that “They are being taken through lawful Police procedures. Further updates will be given in due time”.
Mr. Hayford who was a former student of Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) left behind four children and a wife
