Multiple Chelsea players test positive for Covid-19

The Chelsea football club have confirmed there has been an outbreak of coronavirus among the squad after players travelled abroad. More than 4 Chelsea players are believed to be currently in isolation after the initial round of COVID-19 testing was conducted upon their return from the brief summer break.

The names of these players have not been revealed yet, but there are speculations that the 4 players who went on a holiday together are included. These players are Fikayo Tomori, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Chelsea’s Captain America, Christian Pulisic. They are thought to be among those who tested positive for coronavirus because they have not turned up for pre-season trainings yet.

This news has thrown Lampard’s preparations into turmoil and has got Chelsea fans including myself very disturbed. There have also been 12 other Covid-19 cases at 14 different clubs since last week. Some of these teams include West Ham, Brighton and Sheffield United. We really hope all these players get well soon and add their qualities to the game of football.
