Sad News: This Is What The Students Are Saying Concerning The Food Given.

The presidents’ promise to provide all the 2020 BECE candidates a hot meal began today. Many news stands have reported nationwide coverage of how the siateibution was done. Many of the reporatges were positive as most candidates were enjoyed the imitiative. However, students of St. Cyprian’s Anglican JHS ‘A’ in Kumasi today rejected President Nana Akufo-Addo’s free hot meal per day served them. It has been reported that most of the students threw the food away after tasting them that the food was salty.

The voices of the students was played on class news on monday that “even prisoners will not eat this meal” “the food is salty and not tasty”. One the students boldly said: “We thought they were going to serve us good food. Nana Akufo-Addo should abrogate the contract with the caterer and give it to my mother; she can cook it better.”

From the look of things, the students, however, did not blame the President for the poor food but rather the caterer who prepared the food.

The headmaster of the school, Mr Stephen Adjei, said the food was delivered to all the 55 students but the teachers were neglected. The President in his 15th address said all the candidates sitting the Basic Education Certificate Examination this year and their teachers will enjoy one free hot meal a day.

Aebnews is of the view that, since it’s a nationwide program, there will be few glitches here and there. However, caterers who have been given the contracts should do well do a good work.
