Former President John Agyekum Kufour has underscored the need for the party to consolidate its gains and ensure it is retained come December 7, 2020.
He reminded the party not to allow what occurred in 2008 to repeat itself.
noted the NPP has done so well over the past three and half years.
Mr. Kufour speaking at the manifesto launch suggested there is no other alternative aside the NPP to manage the country.
The NPP has over the past three years done wonders, he said and referred to the one-district-one-factory, the free senior high school and other policies adding it would be in the interest of the nation to maintain the Nana Addo led administration come December 7, 2020.
‘’NPP in 2004 sailed through successfully and this time around, the NPP should do better.’’
Ghana in his view is recovering from the mess created under the previous administration.
‘’We are launching our manifesto today and every party member should understand that we promised Ghanaians to deliver and offer than prosperity. We have delivered on our promises. We have offered free SHS and also asked Ghanaians to retain us. We must approach this agenda with a mindset of not seeking power for our own interest but to deliver a transformation,’’ he added.
The former president was optimistic Ghanaians will maintain the NPP but stressed the need for the NPP not to leave any stone unturned in consolidating its gains.
