The Minister of Education Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has finally released a new phase of schools reopening in the country.
Due to the deadly corona virus which has affected almost every aspect of life all over the world, all schools were forced to shut down pending the vanish or reduction of the pandemic.
Senior High Schools were not left out as they were forced to write their final exams disregarding the usual West Africa Exams protocol and organising our own like it was in the past.
Many asked even if there were modalities set.God been so good, we have heard of an announcement to that effect.
The Minister Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh through the hierarchy of the Ghana Education service has finally unveiled a final committee to deliberate on schools reopening.
The committee which is chaired by former Education Minister Honorable Dominic Fobi is expected to bring the right time for schools reopening and other top up measures that will be needed.
The committee has been tasked to work speedily. That means schools could reopen soon with the necessary recommendations made.
The Minister Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh is hoping that kids gets back to school so far as COVID allows.
But as it stands, if care is not taken schools could be closed down forever because COVID is not leaving anytime completely soon.
The release and plans was in line with the President’s directive dated 16th August, to consider reopening of schools. Hence they were influenced to move with the directive on that date.
Hence the urgent plans to reopen our schools for academic activities.
