Form Two Student of OKESS commits suicide

Osei Kyeretwie Secondary School was been founded in July 1937, meaning OKESS was the first senior high school to be established in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

As the coronavirus keeps spreading, with the active cases reducing gradually . Schools were asked to be closed down. After some days, JHS and SHS final years together with the SHS two were being told to go back to school and resume studies. This initiative was taken to allow final years to complete the various educational levels.

The ongoing Wassce examinations has seen a lot of misconducts , where students are being seen recording videos to insult high officials in the country just because they weren’t able to write the exams as they wanted it to be.

Some death cases has been recorded in some senior high schools. Recently, a business student of KNUST SHS died some two weeks ago.

The latest one is a student from OKESS who has allegedly taken his own life . According to the reporter from Angel FM , the had killed himself as a result of a previous day argument with his mother. The name of the student is Kwaku Prince. Reports say, he went to stake a lottery of which his mother got to know of it. Thus, the mother talked to his son about it , the boy got furious and hanged himself to death. The body was retrieved by the police and his dead corpse is now at the mortuary.
