To live a happy and healthy life, relationships cannot be overlooked. Don’t forget that there is nothing like a perfect relationship.  Relationships, from friends to romances, have the latent to supplement our lives and add to our pleasure of life.  Though, these same relationships can cause uneasiness, and sometimes even cause harm.

The Components of a healthy relationship.

A healthy relationship is attained when persons at stake grow a connection as a result of the following:

  • Reciprocated respect
  • Conviction
  • Trustworthiness
  • Care
  • Fairness or equality
  • Good communication
  • An intellect of friskiness/weakness

All of these things take effort. Each relationship is of utmost expected a blend of both healthy and unhealthy features. Relationships need to be preserved and healthy relationships take exertion.

A healthy relationship breeds happiness than stress. Every relationship will have anxiety sometimes, but you want to avert lengthy mental stress on either party.

This is what you normally happen when you are in a healthy relationship.

You:

  • Maintain and respect each other’s uniqueness
  • Preserve relationships with friends and family
  • Have activities apart from one another
  • Can express yourselves to one another without fear of consequences
  • Allow and encourage other relationships
  • Take interest in one another’s activities
  • Have respect for sexual boundaries
  • Do not worry about fierceness in the relationship
  • Trust each other and be honest with each other
  • Can feel secure and comfortable

Signs of an unhealthy relationship?

Unhealthy relationships will show these characteristics more often and cause you stress and pressure that is hard to avoid. This stiffness is unhealthy for both parties of the relationship. It can lead to problems in the extra parts of your life.

In an unhealthy relationship you:

  • Put one person before the other by neglecting yourself or your partner
  • Feel pressure to change who you are for the other person
  • Feel worried when you disagree with the other person
  • Notice one of you has to justify your actions.
  • Notice one partner feels obligated to have sex or has been forced
  • Have a lack of privacy, and may be forced to share everything with the other person
  • You or your partner refuse to use safer sex methods
  • Notice arguments are not settled fairly
  • Experience a lack of fairness and equality
  • Do not make time to spend with one another
  • Have no common friends, or have a lack of respect for each other’s’ friends and family

If you have noticed some of these features, it does not solidly mean the end of that relationship. You can begin to work on improving the negative aspect of your relationships to benefit both of you. That is if you recognizing how these characteristics affect you.
